Dairy developments in Mongolia

Opportunities for the national milk production

  • Increased interests for winter production, as Government initiates the first time trial of an incentive payment of 500 MNT per liter of whole fresh milk to farmers/herders who supplied milk during 1st November to 31d March
  • Urban citizens concern about the quality of milk and dairy products, steady demand for national dairy products in urban areas throughout year and in rural areas, specifically in winter and spring months
  • Continued land allocation for agricultural use and dairy farming close to provincial centres attracting investments from individuals and big companies
